Rebekah’s family agreed to let her become Isaac’s wife. The servant presented Rebekah with more gold and silver jewelry and articles of clothing. He also gave her family gifts. The next morning, he and Rebekah started their journey back to Canaan.

Isaac sat in a field meditating and saw the camels approaching. Rebekah saw Isaac and asked the servant, “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?” (Genesis 24:65). Since Isaac was not aware of Abraham’s matchmaking scheme, he was probably curious about this small caravan. The servant explained to Isaac about his father’s request, the journey, and the answer to his prayer.
